To ensure the BEST InstaBronze results we recommend:
  • Be sure to exfoliate your skin prior to using the InstaBronze unit and follow up with a water-based moisturizer. (California Tan's Total Immersion Tan Extending Moisturizer)
  • Wait a minimum of at least 4 hours before showering. (Results may take up to 24 hours to develop)
  • Remember to NOT apply moisturizer, shower, work out, do dishes, or get wet for at least 4 hours after the InstaBronze session.
  • Finally, each and every time you bathe or shower, after an InstaBronze session, use a water-based moisturizer to preserve and extend the life of your InstaBronze tan! We recommend California Tan's Total Immersion Tan Extending Moisturizer (available at ALL Ashley Lynn's Tanning locations).

Q. and A.

Q: What is in the Instabronze tanning solution?

A: The Instabronze tanning solution has two components:
1. The bronzer is a water-soluble dye designed to produce an instant tan. The brown bronzer will wash off in the shower or bath but will not affect your overall tan.

2. DHA is a self-tanning bronzer. When applied to the skin, DHA reacts with proteins in the skin's superficial layer to form a gold brown color. It begins to darken 2 to 3 hours after application and reaches its peak color within 24 hours. The DHA tan will begin to gradually fade through natural exfoliation, just like a tan from the sun. To maintain optimal color, you should tan every 5 to 7 days.

Q: Who should use the Instabronze tanning booth?

Instabronze BoothA: Everyone! Including Self-Tanners, Non-Tanners, Ex-Tanners, and Current Tanners.

Q: Will it turn me orange?

A: No! In the past, self-tanning methods have caused many individuals to have an unnatural orange glow or a streaky tan. Most of these undesirable results were caused by improper or ineffective application techniques. Applying creams and lotions by hand usually results in excessive amounts being absorbed in the skin. Excessive amounts applied in a single application can give an orange glow to the skin. Unnatural dark spots may also appear in dry or thick skin areas such as elbows, knees, and knuckles because they have a tendency to absorb more of the cream or lotion. Hand held spray-on applicators tend to run and cause streaking. The misting technology used to apply the Instabronze solution assures that all areas of the body receive a uniform coating of the solution in the exact amount necessary to produce a golden brown tan.

Q: How long do I have to wait after an Instabronze tanning session before I can shower?

A: We recommend that you wait a minimum of 4 hours after tanning to give the bronzer enough time to fully set.

Q: Will the components of the Instabronze solution make my skin have an unpleasant smell?

A: Some consumers have commented that they noticed a "starchy" smell on their skin after tanning, but it is usually not noticeable to others around them. Also, the smell, if any, does not last very long.

Q: How many times do I need to tan with the Instabronze tanning process to achieve the color I want?

A: You will be tan after one session, but it may take an additional session or two to achieve your desired color. Once you reach the color you desire you should be able to maintain it by tanning every five to seven days.
